Brilliant documentary. Michael Wood was so very good, clear and enthusiastic, with a wonderful grasp of the pertinent points of history. His knowledge of, and ability to both read and speak the ancient language, from such incredible material as The Anglo Saxon Chronicles makes for riveting viewing.
