Wow what a masterpiece indeed. Just the time involved in punching and hand stitching this bag is enormous. But there is nothing that equals the look and strength of hand stitched leather goods.

If you had to guess, how many hours do you think went into making this bag?

What an outstanding piece of handmade excellence. Just amazing! Thanks for taking us along! By the way, is the shoulder pad possibly just an design choice? It looks sleek enough to be chosen just for this reason...?

Thanks for the kind words. The single piece shoulder pad, such as this one, is the least expensive and least useful version of a shoulder pad. The single piece of leather cut from the same 8 oz. hide, is not really thick enough to provide very much support over the shoulder. After a short time, it becomes so limp as to offer no support at all. If it were cut from a thick piece of leather, say 12oz. or heavier, it would function just fine.
