Wow, literally 2 hours ago, I had just made a comment on a GreeAqua video about why they didn't use an in0line CO2 diffuser. So glad you made this video to discuss it.

Green aqua uses in-line diffusers and CO2 reactors. Use a CO2 reactor if you don’t want your water to look like 7-Up 🤓

They use reactors on most tanks. Even more efficient. But on tiny tanks it’s really unnecessary

Can you do a vid on setting up co2 for those of us who have no clue about it? Thanks!

You won’t regret switching to that inline diffuser. I bought mines from GLA and love it! Gives out lots of fine bubbles. Good luck buddy, love the shirt!

That’s a huge in-line diffuser!

I am very interested to see how that style of in-line diffuser performs. I've been contemplating replacing my current one with that style with the hope of reducing the mist effect in the tank.

Nice! A month ago I did this on the 45g for the very same reason.

hope we can get that one in the uk as it seems much better than what we can get

What do you do when you need to replace the co2 tank. Is it ok to run the filter with nothing connected to the co2 valve on the inline?
@KX5Kat5 жыл бұрын
I used the Jardli glass inline and just found that it produces huge bubbles which go straight to the surface. I've ordered an inline and in tank diffuser and plan to use both, the in tank positioned at the furthest point from the filter outlet.

Your ceramic disc was bad, it happens occasionally. You could get a replacement disc and install that in the in-tank diffuser. I had the same problem with a Wyin diffuser, got replacement discs off Aliexpress for next to nothing, and havent had a single large bubble pop out. going strong for over a year now.

Wonder if they could be used in conjunction with an air pump on a reef tank. Instead of injecting the water with Co2 it would be air. Thinking I may have to get one to play around with on my reef tank.

Is it normal to have water run up to the check valve when the solenoid/Co2 is turned off?

Will the inline diffuser, reduce the waterflow from the canister?
@rolicaaquatics78675 жыл бұрын
This is why you keep your previously cut hose. :D

Do you even keep fish anymore?

You should get your hands on a NEO Diffuser by Aquario. No big bubbles at all.

I bought this inline defusser for my high tech tank and no mater what I tired it kept leaking, I ended up going back to an in tank diffuser

Use metal clips from the hardware shop to overcome this
@808ydna2 жыл бұрын
I thought the water was meant to go in at the top and out of the bottom so the Co2 stays in the reactor until it has completely dissolved into the water so no bubbles in the tank and no wasted Co2

Does just surface water agitation From HOB filter outflow diminishes Co2 injection or the bubble from sponge filter or both will deminish Co2 injected Can I use a sponge filter at all with low bubble output Thanks for time and reply
@trhuyanh19965 жыл бұрын
alexander lock look up the website called advancedplantedtank, it will answer your question in the co2 section. Regarding it, more surface agitation is good for balance co2 and o2 in your tank, bringing your tank into gas equalinirum.

@foreverfishtank54645 жыл бұрын
@B F Actually, that is not the one - although it is supposed to be a good diffuser. This is the one he uses: www.bigalspets.com/ca/ista-external-co2-ceramic-reactor.html . Notice the revolving propeller inside the reactor.

@KX5Kat5 жыл бұрын
Depends on what kind of deal you can get, how fancy you want your equipment and how big a canister you buy, for me: 3kg canister - $80 Regulator + Solenoid - $120 Tubing - Free (shop through it in with the regulator) Bubble counter - $10 Drop Checker - $12 Check Valve - $5 Inline Diffuser and in-tank Atomizer from GLA (the best) - $80 Co2 Re-fill - about $20 every 4 months. You can setup co2 for under $10 if you go the DIY route. Some folks have had great success with this, I find it too fiddly and messy.
