I just got out of an AA meeting. I’m 9-months sober and a heroin addict. Was feeling very down in the dumps about very trivial things in my life, when I forgot that a year ago, I was on the verge of death every day. This is the best cover I've ever heard of my favorite song of all time. And that's coming from someone who once sang in a Neutral Milk Hotel cover band. While younger versions of me surely prefer the NMH original, now that I'm 45 years of age I think I may appreciate your version even more than the original. The original is so full of passion and emotion, yet yours is full of something one can't fake or conjure through emotion: the wisdom of a lifetime of experiences.
