Planned on following Nashville in the AFL. That train wreck has led me to the IFL and I’m really enjoying it so far. Great video. Hope we see the Kats in the IFL soon

I think the IFL is in a really good position. They can just sit back and watch while the other leagues do their work for them. The NAL just had another team drop out for the season (Oklahoma Flying Aces). Of course we all know the AFL drama. While they might normally only bring on a couple of teams a year, there is nothing saying they couldn't bring on more if they are established and really flesh out the league.

Great video! Really entertaining watch. I appreciate all the hard work put into it. Love me some speculation content. And I agree on your points. Makes sense. There are a lot of options out there for the IFL. They have been smart and doing well for themselves so far, so I think they will get it right.

Appreciate the kind words! Like I said in the video, its just some silly speculation, none of this shoukd be taken as gospel. Hoping the IFL does what is in its best interest and keeps building slowly, but methodically.

Thanks for the great video. The two teams that I would bring in are the Albany Firebirds and the Omaha Beef. I believe that a team in Ohio and Nashville the next go around.

Omaha Beef has only been playing in their current arena since 2013. They played in another arena in Omaha proper before that.

Definitely agree with Carolina getting called up. I'd also put Orlando as my second. Build up the South that way. For the other 4, I know it's a buncha fanficy BS, but I'd run with scratch teams in mostly large areas: 1. Inland Empire, CA: The Toyota Arena in Ontario hosts the AHL Reign, has a capacity of just under 10k, and would bridge many of the Western teams by giving them a Los Angeles rival, while avoiding the nonsense of actually being in Los Angeles. 2. Chicago, IL: Another city with an arena being used by an AHL team (Wolves, Allstate Arena in Rosemont). Might be a bit on the bigger side, but Chicago also had a deep history with indoor football. You'll also get natural rivals in GB, QC, and Fisher (which, sidebar, "Frighters" would be much cooler). 3. Bridgeport, CT: This is similar to the Inland Empire, but with NYC. Total Mortgage Arena houses just over 8k for hockey, and should be a good sized venue for a Connecticut team. You also give the Pirates a close rival. 4. Cleveland, OH: The Gladiators were a stalwart of the AFL 2.0 in the 2010s, and averaged just over 10k attendance in their final few years. Cleveland would also be a good hub point from the northeast to the midwest. Again, this is just fanfic dreaming, but with a somewhat grounded baseline. I do agree with you that there will be two callups, but glad we only disagree on one of the two.

I wouldn't mind Orlando in the IFL. Would help out Jacksonville with even closer travel compared to Nashville. I'm looking at it through the lens of travel for the rest of the league as well, though. As for the fanfic, I wouldn't mind any of those cities. Chicago was rumored to be a destination for the Massachusetts Pirates had they not moved to Lowell this season. It all just comes down to ownership and the arena, really. Cleveland would be awesome, not sure if they would play in Quicken Loans Arena or whatever it's called now. Bridgeport, Hartford, Albany, hell, AF2 had the Manchester Wolves at one point. So, your points are pretty valid here.

If Tryon keeps true to his word and takes two teams at a time, I see the teams not getting in the IFL most likely sitting out a year. I just don’t see Albany and Orlando returning to the NAL if the AFL folds.
@silencejames4 ай бұрын
They need to add more teams in the east. I hope Nashville, Orlando and Albany from the afl joins. That if Dakota comes back would make it 21 so 1 more team.
@InTheAlleyIFL4 ай бұрын
Tryon has mentioned if/when the IFL exoands they want to try and go 2 teams at a time. So ALB, NSH, and ORL would need 1 more team to make it even. Unless an IFL team folds or something

Hope IFL keeps doing their own thing. Would prefer to see left over AFL teams and even AIF teams join the NAL.
@RickyMatthews-b7h3 ай бұрын
To add the Albany Firebirds, Nashville Kats, would be a great addition choice. But also adding Omaha Beef to play against the Iowa Barnstormers and Sioux City all within playing distance. This would solidify the IFL greatly, across from West Coast to The East Coast.
@InTheAlleyIFL3 ай бұрын
I wouldn't mind Omaha and Sioux City. They seemed attached at the hip though, so you'd have to take both of them. The issue is with adding both of them, you aren't expanding east or south to help Jacksonville or Massachusetts with their travel costs, and that's something Tryon has talked about wanting to help teams get off an "island" and have some travel partners.

Four divisions of six and two conferences makes the most sense in my opinion the more regionally you can break down a lot of the games the cheaper it will be to operate
@DawsonJones-y5e2 ай бұрын
You should add the Albany Firebirds and the Orlando Predators because of that rivalry they have.

I’m curious where you got those IFL mini helmets? They look cool!
@InTheAlleyIFL2 ай бұрын
For a few of them (Iowa, QC, JAX) I found them on Ebay or had family buy them and mail them. For most of the others, I buy mini helmets on Ebay, (Cincinnati Bearcats for example), rip the decals off, spray it down with adhesive remover, and make/print my own stickers at my job.

Surprised that Tulsa did take back the Talons nickname. But you want northwest teams, resurrect San Jose Sabercats, the Portland Thunder and Spockane Shock
@coryshannon38154 ай бұрын
It was a shame the Sabrecats ended up folding, considering the success they had on the AFL. It would have been cool to see them join the IFL, but since the original team wasn't able to, and expansion with the old team's history (even if spiritually) would be nice.

Just saying there is a team in Colorado already could easily take them. They play in the same arena that Colorado Crush played in with the IFL.

5 teams and didn't work. Sure wish it would have stayed around. Commandoes were the most successful with 3 Championships in 3 years.

A competing league would be good for the IFL. It would be better if the NAL expanded from their current 6 teams to get to eventually 12 or 16 teams. With the AFL imploding this year, some of those teams are viable candidates if rejected by the IFL.
@InTheAlleyIFL4 ай бұрын
For sure. Competition is always good for any sport. NAL is down to just 5 teams now. Would the western based AFL teams (Billings, Rapid City, Salina, SW KS) be willing to join the NAL after Omaha and Sioux City left the CIF to go to that league? Not sure. Something has to give though at some point, or else it could just be the IFL left.
@jackurban8944 ай бұрын
@@InTheAlleyIFL which team dropped out? The NAL website still shows 6 teams. Those CIF teams would be a good fit. I don’t know if there is any animosity among the old CIF teams to join Sioux City and Omaha.

Actually heard today not sure exactly what league it is but heard that Stockton Ca might be getting a team in 2025. Have you heard anything about that?
@InTheAlleyIFL2 ай бұрын
I have not heard anything about that. When this video came out, the AFL was in such a flux, and the NAL was shedding teams like Oklahoma and Topeka. As far as I know, only Fishers and Dakota are in for 2025, and even Dakota might be on the fence, as they posted a month or so ago they want more sponsors in Fargo if they plan to come back from hiatus after Mass/Sioux Falls played the 1 game there.

IFL Expansion Team in Mobile or Pensacola area
@farhanatashiga37214 ай бұрын
Well all hopes might not be lost for the PNW region. The AFL's two teams in the area so far seems to be competently run, if they survive the current trainwreck they could jump ship to the ifl if the respective ownerships want to continue on playing. Not without some adjustments though. The Wolfpack should probably rebrand to Everett to better differentiate themselves. And the blackbears should really move to a proper arena because where they play right now really looks more like a converted home depot warehouse than anything else.
@InTheAlleyIFL4 ай бұрын
I see your point. If the ownerships are worth it, I can see a move there if the IFL wants it. Like you said though, you would probably need a travel buddy up there. Tri-Cities Fever had Everett and if you want to consider the Wyoming Calvary as a close travel partner you can. It makes sense!
