The fact that her great grandmother was only 14 years old, still practically a child, and came here by herself without her parents is beyond me. I cannot imagine being that age and setting off on your own, & having to say goodbye to your loved ones back home-not knowing whether or not you will ever see them again. And then finding out that you had siblings who stayed behind in Europe for whatever reason-only to lose them to terrible circumstances. Wow.

But I think we are familiar with this historical fact at this point. My question is, what is the real lesson of the Holocaust? Is the one thing we are to conclude that Jews were the victims of all history? After all, this simply isn't true-- there were other horrible things done to other groups of people. So the lesson of the Shoah must be: it's more than ONE family tree, more than one individual or one ethnic identity at a time. This can be done to ANYONE if they are targeted in the wrong time and place. That is what we need to be vigilant about now and in the future-- the Holocaust is not just something in the past. It's a test case for human rights.

Why are you being antisemitic? What do these people, who were murdered many many many years ago have to do with anything going on now? Are you laying blame at their feet? Hatred and blame towards Jews murdered by nazis 75ish years ago tells me you have no real sympathy for anyone. Not for Palestinians or anyone else. Sometime in the future you will simply find some reason to hate Palestinians too. @elainegoad9777

actually she has features like brown eyes hair which can be found in Poland (Lena) and easily contencted with jewish roots, Lena is also name which is used in Poland, not very often but still. Also she has very rebel nature which most young polish people have, liking fight for justice and common rights... so nothing suprising here that she has Polish roots. I am happy that I am from Poland and I know polish language and i able to understand this documents they have showed :D she had glorious (chwalebne) behavior which means probably she was good student, smart and nice girl.
