Thank you mostly for introducing me to such wonderful authors. Though I studied English Literature 'noted' authors those classes didn't touch on the type of writing that I hoped to emulate, with the exception of Poe. Great story Simon. Thank you.

So happy I found this site! I love Victorian and Edwardian ghost dories! Great curation and, of course, the narration is flawless.

Her description of the town is so realistic and evocative, I wonder if it is an actual place she visited.

You are right! Rheinfelden is an actual city, placed exactly like described in this story, to be sure.

Thank you for your low and steady volume. There’s nothing worse than being jarred awake by a narrator who thinks loudness is required -because acting out all the voices and adding loud emphasis - is a requirement for being ‘entertaining.’ We want to hear a story , not a play. Thank you for not doing that. Your quiet steadiness is appreciated 😊

You are left wondering if you should be happy the priest died knowing he wasn't mad. Or mad at the ghastly apparition that continued to haunt the confessional.

יופי של סיפורת שפוגשים בה מלים אנגליות לא שגרתיות. כל כך שונה מהאנגלית של "הרשתות של ימינו..."

The names of German things, places are so strange to the ear of an educated, though uneducated, American. Hmm
