+Ivory Raven I don't think you'll be disappointed. They are one of the best goth rock/synth metal bands out there and are completely underrated. They have a consistently good catalog of music, and they also put on very good shows. Also, I personally think the "Superstition" album they released last year is one the top five albums of 2015.

+Ivory Raven I've been following them since their first album. They are the only band that I have purchased every album and purchase the album before hearing any of it because I am that confident it will be good. They are extremely consistent in the quality of the music they produce. My only sadness is that it seems there is only one really heavy-ish song (akin to In The Dark) on each album. The rest are very synthy. But, I think that is more their style anyway, so it's not really a knock against them.

It's always funny to go back to Violet and think, "wow...these guys used to be REALLY sinister in their sound." Like, that album was probably their darkest and heaviest when it came to sound and lyrics. I agree, a lot of their recent stuff puts more emphasis on incorporating synth, but god damn they do it so seamlessly. I hella enjoyed their song Oceania off their newest album. It was so different for the band. It's like a song you would hear in an 80's prom night scene of a horror movie

Chris Cartwright If you've listened to any actual gothic rock, like The Cure, Bauhaus, Siouxsie, or Fields of the Nephilim, you would know this sounds nothing like gothic rock. They sound a bit like Evanescence, but Evanescence isn't gothic rock either (I will give that this sounds more like Gothic Rock than Evanescence does). A metal influenced variant of New Wave would be accurate though.
