What a beautifully sad and heartstring tugging set of tracks! They bring to mind a benevolent and kind leader of a nation that has long since been taken over by a corrupt regime. The once great leader has now been reduced to nothing more than a puppet, and can only do what they can from the shadows to protect their people and accept their fate of forfeiting their own happiness for the sake of others. The greatest tragedy of my life will always be that no matter what I do with the time I have whether it be great, mundane or ugly. I will never know if my heroes, the giants in my life who have long since passed and left shoes I could never hope to fully fill, will see all my victories and momentary setbacks on my road to success. Terribly so.” “Can I make one last request?” “Why would you even need to ask?” A slight laugh left the girls mouth as her blackened hands tightened their grip. The silver haired girl mirrored the action. “When you go back to the kingdom… c-can you have some Azul roses added into the garden? I saw some of them on my way here and… and they’re such a beautiful flower.” The silver haired girl broke out into a soft fit of laughter. “Of course… in fact, I will have a new garden made and those will be the only flowers allowed in it.” “That sounds wonderful.” The two remained in a tight embrace for what felt like hours that passed by in seconds. The darkness had now reached the girls neck before she spoke once more. “It’s almost time.” “I-I can’t do this…… I can’t let you go. Please don’t go… there was so much we never did, never said and I just….” “Shhh… calm down. You’re strong remember? You don’t have to fight your tears, but don’t let them break you.” “I just… will always love you. Far more than I ever could’ve possibly shown and now it’s too late.” “Maybe… but it’s not too late to show that love… in fact, I have one more request.” “Yes?” “When you get back to the kingdom. Let that love you have for me, expand to those you have sworn to serve. Love them as you have loved me.” “Of course.” The girl’s face was now the only thing free from the darkness, but only for a few more seconds. “Hey.” “Y-yeah.” “I love you……. Sister.” “……. I love you too. Now and always… sister.”
