Another thoroughly enjoyable episode Jamie, & excellent guest appearance from Rory. Some insanely good images there, my favourite being Rory's Common Blue Damselfly on the pink flower contrasted background - simply stunning. Lots of great content, & I now have my excuses for not cutting the grass lined up for the wife! Seriously though, I have left an area of the garden to go wild & helped the pollinators along a bit by planting an area of wildflowers & even in November there are bees, flies, spiders & only on Sunday just gone by a very late Red Admiral was on the last of the buddliah blooms. Nature will find a way if we provide a little habitat for it. Keep up the good work guys, look forward to the next one. Best, Nick

Just found and watched both of your in the field macro videos. Really great images and content. Both Luke and Rory were really enjoyable guests. Great video, found Rory a while back on insta and he gets some great shots. Out of a biodiversity perspective the urban environment can offer alot now so if it was taken care of with the flowers and the insects in mind it would be alot better :) Very interesting that Rory brought it up as it is an important aspect to try and spread the word about. I started looking and recording invertebrates properly since 2014 and this year (2022) I reached over 1000 differant species in my county (Falun, Sweden) and I mainly stick around urban areas that are "mistreated" for the insect world - wonder how many more species could thrive if it was managed differant? :)

Look forward to your next video. I applaud photographers that can focus bracket with a manual lens. Auto focus and in camera focus stacking has spoiled me using Olympus. However there are other amazing macro lenses out there like the one Rory uses..

Absolutely fantastic! I’m not only a keen macro lover but anything photography and have watched KZbin for years, with some great video content and ideas, but I have to say, 10 out of 10 for information, content and entertainment. Just on the wasp, I used to be a butcher in the 60s and watched them with admiration and at BBQs people that know me cannot believe some of the things I tell them, however here are a few, wasps will take raw meat, mince being there choice as it’s easy to separate, if you leave that chicken bone after the BBQ they will come down and I get people to watch them cut a bit of chicken off the bone, and fly away only to have another few appear for a share, they won’t harm you and I’m quite happy with them crawling over my hand, and rather that swat them if there in your house, wait for them to land and just gently pinch the wings between finger and thumb and let them out the window, fascinating creatures as are hover flies, I love them and have been found talking to them as they come close to your face to explore, even had a kiss. Lovely to hear the respectful way you both talk about these wonderful creatures that keep us alive, with the pollinating etc. DG New Forest U.K.
