It's why I'm so glad RS3 doesn't rely on just polling every update. I have no issues with some polls to decide if updates should be worked on, released in a certain order, or to put specific things in but we can't let the inmates (all of us players) run the asylum (the game). P.S. I just lost the game.

Hey Shauny, I wonder if you could share my thoughts on Fossil Island with Maz. Fossil Island is my favourite new location in OSRS (new as in post 2013). It's incredible how well it was designed; it is incredible how well Maz was able to recreate the traditional Runescape style. When I returned to play the game in 2018, I was disappointed with how un-Gielinoristic some of the new content felt (in particular Zeah). My sentiment only changed when I began to do the content on Fossil Island; everything feels like it really belongs in the game, everything feels immersive. It just fits. Once I realised this, I spent hours exploring the island and trying out the different activities. It was at that point that my approach to the game as a whole changed. It shifted from "I play this for the nostalgia" to "I play this for what it has to offer". By the way, underwater agility is the best agility course in OSRS; the only other course that gets close to being as fun and immersive is the Brimhaven arena. Ancient wyverns have a very well balanced drop table. The mycelium transportation system is genius. Sulliuscep chopping is a great example of how a non-AFK skilling acitivty should be designed. The volcanic mine is a exceptionally fun skilling minigame. Honourable mentions go to giant seaweed, volcanic ash, birdhouses, the deranged archaeologist and herbiboar (and probably something else I'm forgetting?). My only gripes -- and they are very minor gripes -- is how overpowered hardwood patches are, and how underwhelming the fossil enrichment pool is. I don't know how much of this content you are personally responsible for, but I just wanted to thank you for planting the seed. You proved that OSRS is more than just a husk of days gone by; it is a world worth exploring. I gotta admit that I envy the customers of whichever company you may be working for now.
