No doubt. I'm 32 now and grandmas fixing to be 95 so blessed to have her and the stories she still tells word for word just as I remember as a kid. Lots of stories to tell from 1926 to present.

With the aroma of that night's dinner still in the air. I just can't get over how a theme song can bring so many emotions and memories. 😭.

This was my mom’s favorite show in the mid 90s. It was a kick in the head finding out that Alan Autry was from my hometown of Fresno. And then, I randomly met him and Howard Rollins at of all places, the local video store in my neighborhood! I was so excited, I asked the owner to use his phone. My mom came sprinting down because she loved them both. They signed a $1 bill she had and she still tells that story to this day lmao.

Carroll O'Connor did a fantastic job stepping out of the shadow of his Archie Bunker character in this show. So many actors become famous for a single role and then can never get out from that character's shadow. Carroll was one of the exceptions to this rule.

I agree, its a great song, but it has somewhat of a spooky vibe. I think its creepy in the same sense as creepy television idents, where you, as a child associate it with the night(when the shows would end & you would see the logo), & subsequent spookiness of the dark & being alone in your room, along with any of them that are just creepy.

As a kid, I spent nearly all my weekends with my grandfather, as life at home was very abusive. We used to stay up late and watch this before going to bed. Even though he passed away in 2019, I have so many happy memories with him. RIP Pop!
