Okay, long comment incoming. First off, this was FANTASTIC. The scene changes during the chorus, what, with all the people of Washington Heights and their different environments and such, was such a brilliant idea and you executed it so perfectly. (I can't imagine how awful that was to edit omg) Your use of color in this animatic made the whole thing flow so perfectly, along with your character designs! Vanessa is so gorgeous, and the fact that you colored Usnavi's hat in every frame literally amazes me. That must've been so tedious I can't even imagine. I literally loved everything about this wow. Props to you for picking this song, 7 and a half minutes of drawings is such an accomplishment dang I'm sorry if I stopped making sense halfway through this I'm just in AWE and rambling this is fantastic eliza oh my God thank you for blessing this earth with this wowwwowowowowow

Wow these colours are beautiful. Love how the sun comes up at the start and I’m just here patiently waiting for the lyric. It’s so satisfying. Light switch, coffee and car switches? Love em. Oh my goodness, I love this! The colour changes, the way the frames change between different scenery to the beat, the character designs and expression. I think my favourite touch is the rapid switching between people to show how many of them share the same routine. Overall just so clever and energetic.

Things I love about this: -every scene Usnavi is in -the part that goes "even farther than Harlem to northern Manhattan and maintain, get off at 181st and take the escalator" with the Google Maps and stock images - just **chef's kiss** -the parts with the hands where it changes to all different people -Sonny's eyebrow wiggle -The "yeah I'm a streetlight choking on the heat" scene; tbh really emotional -plenty others but it's too much to list I've watched this probably 5 times ever since I discovered the musical in like July 2019 😅
