Heartbreaking film. After teaching in Oakland, California, and experiencing these types of senseless deaths for three years, it became hard to continue. My hats off and heart to the teacher and community members who kept Robbie's vision alive. May God continue to bless your efforts and spirit. Maybe you all can cover the neighborhood with cameras to find and remove these mass murders off the streets.

This movie really bought tears to my eyes because I lost two close friends to the life they wanted to live and I literally left my stomping grounds because it was nothing but violence on top of violence this was a great movie the cast did amazing and so did the director
@IAmMowgly Жыл бұрын
They did their thing with this movie... I just wish the audio for her narrative parts was a little bit better, but nonetheless her delivery was good and the camera work was on point, the angles, the lighting for certain scenes, set the ambiance and mood for the circumstance and topic. Great work! Would love to see another one and work with the producer and director of this one.

This movie was filmed on the block I grew up on and my mother lost her life on that same corner over thirty years ago. The house that the boy was shot in, is next door to my family house now. This movie brought back so many memories. I grew up on this same block wow.

Shout out to the editor and to all the production team and actors/actresses. Whoever is in a situation like this i promise it'll be better just have faith. I know it sounds cliche especially if you're going through it right now and all you hear is "have faith" but that's the only thing i can think of. There's a strong warrior inside all of us and if we dig deep and trust that gut feeling of faith then everything is going to be okay. It's hard and i can't say i've been in yall shoes who lost someone to pistol violence but i suggest you read the bible for yourselves. Start in proverbs or pslams and get wisdom for your spirit. If church isn't your thing then type in YT 'or google How to have Faith in God' or 'Where to start in the bible when you're feeling down'. Stay blessed everyone.

What a wonderful movie. Especially the scene in the classroom where all the children talked about their future (and the lack of possibilities and dreams) teared me up. As a European I really see no other solution than very strict gun laws. It has worked in every country that has implemented it so far. I don't understand how indifferent the US is when it comes to protecting innocent people. The NRA is feeding off black people and poor people. I wish people in America would feel more empowered and would dare to unite and demand changes. Citizens initiatives like the one Robbie worked so hard for, are great but not very effective. Like with school shootings. I really think if these were the circumstances in any European country, all teachers would go on strike and would refuse to work in such dangerous circumstances for their pupils and for themselves. The US is in desperate need of care for human life.

I hate these kinds of messages. I grew up in the 'hood'. It's true, it's rough. And you deal with alooot of ignorant people. People that grew up in the hood paint this picture of it portraying themselves as a victim. Let me tell you, you're not. You have a disadvantage yes. But that disadvantage is not set in stone. They also paint this picture like they "have to steal" to get by. Or "have to join a gang" or "have to have a gun" dumb statements like this, they say. Let me tell you. I have a successful business now that I am grown up. How did that happen if I grew up in "the hood" ??? Because I STAYED AWAY from people that I knew were going nowhere. People that had ignorant mindsets. People that smoked weed and drank for 'fun' And I did NOT steal or sell drugs just because I needed something. I would go to youth centers for food and food banks. Did it suck? YUP. But I DID WHAT I HAD TO DO. That is the REAL meaning of 'doing what you have to do'. The people that say they had no choice, they did. And they chose every day. Just like I did. I chose to ignore and NOT be a part of these circles of BAD influences. The people that say they had "no choice" CHOSE to get involved. Once you get involved, you choose to lose. So kids, if you're from the hood, trust me, go to class. Don't ditch. Go to bed on time. BE ON TIME. Get a job if you can. Stay busy. Start a KZbin channel or try your hand at success on other sm platforms. Find GOOD friends (this MATTERS) the people you surround yourself with WILL ALWAYS MATTER. Those losers they seem like they're having fun, trust me, it won't look like that later as you get older. But most importantly, get close to God. He will pave the way for you. Jesus Saves. Will it be harder for you maybe? Yes. Impossible??? NOPE.

Violence begets violence tolling even though you stand up to the test of times at its worst. The voices condemning this violent acts are silenced in brutal first degree cold murder daily as this film shows to what's been an ongoing issue in Milwaukee in the US.🤔
