Dear Mree, I´ve been listening to this song ever since you first posted it and I just wanted to say, how much it means to me. I love how subtle and vague the lyrics are, this way everyone can pull their own, personal meaning out of them. For me, this song is about finding my identity. I moved out to go to university pretty far away from my parents. Whenever I come home, I spend a lot of my time in the kitchen, baking cake after cake, it sort of makes me feel connected to my home and my childhood. It fuels me up and gives me the strength to get on the train and face my new life again and "all the other dreams that I was given". :) Thank you for this song and all the best from Germany

Both this and “When you come home” have that goosebump moment for me, where the song builds when I didn’t expect it. It could have opened and carried on as gently as it began and still been a lovely song. At about 1:33 there’s a sudden pull into something that no longer feels gentle and beautiful, but a yearning to express a deeper feeling, of pain or yearning and it’s just stunning. It reminds me of where in Kate Bush’s ‘This Woman’s Work’ the harmonies are deliberately sung harshly, and express powerful emotions. Different technique here, but so achingly good.
