So he only demonstrated the easy bit, the microwave. Forget the difficult bit, the combination oven!

Just bought this model microwave today from Argos Saint Helens, missus made up with it, smaller footprint but bigger on the inside than old microwave. Much lighter too, fifty pound cheaper than stainless steel version showed in video. Great informative video so thanks for helping with choice of microwave. :-) off subject, I thought you was Joey Barton for a sec when I turned in. No mad French accent after his spell playing in France gives it away. :-) great video buddy, thanks, Vinny.

This is an updated version of our microwave that has just conked out after some 8-10 years, would not consider buying anything else, its a brilliant oven

I’ve just bought this but can’t make head nor tail of the cooking instructions. My last oven had an auto dual cook so I’ve no idea what heat, medium, high or simmer to put food on. Any hints, please? Roast potatoes, roast chicken and jacket potatoes. Stews, casseroles etc. Please, if someone out there can help I’d appreciate it.

Do you have to press the Microwave button every time or can you just put the food in and press the start button and it automatically goes to microwave more and turns on?

Can this microwave cook pizza ? (frozen pizza) Our current microwave with oven / grill has just stopped working so we are looking to get a new one. This looks to be a good model.
@13Moondancer5 жыл бұрын
Brian Morrison Yes, it can. It is a lot more confusing to me as I’ve had another combi/microwave for 20 years and I just can’t get used to this yet. It’s large inside, 34cm plate so bigger than it looks. It doesn’t turn off though when you press stop, it keeps going for a few minutes which can be a bit annoying.

So it took a total of 20min to cook frozen peas and rice in a bowl? Would have been quicker on the stove top! Cooking a roast in it using the combined microwave/convection feature saves about 10mins cooking time at best, it comes out looking like a dead body, doesn't brown like in a conventional oven and tastes weird, like it is not cooked properly or something. He also failed to mention how light this microwave is and how it slides across the bench top when you press the door release button! And then there's the noise level, the fan in this thing is loud. How do I know? Because I bought one and I wish I hadn't. The dial on the front is so loose and wobbly, won't last long. Keypads are much better! Avoid this thing, save your money!

thanks for your honest review, these are the reviews I look out for. Do you know if the microwave and convection can be used at the same time on a manual mode?
@ozymandias79402 жыл бұрын
@@greeny6000 Hey there! I haven't tried using both microwave/convection in manual mode, by manual mode I assume you mean not a preset cooking mode? There is another issue, which is not a fault of the microwave, I have a recess in the kitchen cupboard that the microwave fits into. The issue being when I use convection mode, the oven gets HOT like a conventional oven and I am concerned about a possible fire hazard. I think this microwave is better suited to being free standing on an open bench top!
