I got a Panasonic from Costco ten years ago and the only complaint I have is the push button is so stiff that I end up pushing the microwave backwards everytime I open it. Other than that, it cooks properly, no annoying beeps and easy to use.

Thank you for the updated information on microwaves! I may need to get a new one as it's from 2009 and I was told that Maytag or one other brand is the ones that I should choose from!

I dont like having an over range microwave, but i needed to keep my countertops clutter free of appliances , i already have coffee maker and toaster oven. Are ther microwaves with button on handle so it doesn't need to be slammed /pushed shut? My boys make noise when they use it late at night😂

A quality over the range would be our pick. A quality countertop microwave works too (don't get the small, cheap ones), but for many people that counter space is too valuable to cover up. Thanks for watching!

Don't buy a microwave oven that turns on when you push up on the bottom of the door. A few years ago, I decided to move my new oven a little farther back on the counter top. I put one hand under the door's edge and pushed up. The oven started running! I tried four other brands before I found one that didn't do that. (The light and the fan ran, but the magnetron did not.)
