To embrace diversity in the classroom, the Erasmus+ co-funded Fairness in Teaching (FIT) project aims to equip teachers with tools to promote fairness in their classrooms.
FIT adopts an intersectional approach, considering factors like gender, disabilities, social class, sexual orientation, and ethnicity as interconnected. The project has developed a comprehensive toolbox for teachers to tackle stereotypical situations, such as the lack of female role models in science lessons or biases in AI tools.
