Around the 00:21 mark, he crosses his feet. He'd better nip that shit in the bud now before it gets to be a bad habit. “When the pressure is on, you don’t rise to the occasion-you fall to your highest level of preparation.” ― Chris Voss

What is bad about crossing the feet? Im asking as an absolute lay person with 0 training.

@@ByTheGram Crossing your feet destabilizes your foundation. The boxing stance is optimized for boxing footwork and other boxing specific movements. Having a good (consistent) stance allows us to be properly balanced at all times. If you're off balance, everything else is going to be off -- to your opponent's advantage and to your detriment. If I notice that my opponent has that bad habit, I can easily time and exploit that pattern to my advantage. While their feet are crossed, it would be easier to score a knockdown--even if they're not hurt from the punches--all because they're stance was momentarily compromised. I doubt that iron workers walking on I-beams would adopt crossing their feet as a way to get around up there. I suspect that much the same is true for other sports as well.

That's a big guy, I'm curious how fast he is when fully warmed up. Been awhile since we seen a bigger speedster.

Why aren’t you having him extend his straight punches especially his jab? Also isn’t it detriment to collide the pads into the punches as opposed to having the fighter find the target?
