In the Light of Air - Luminance, Anna Thorvaldsdottir

Luminance is the first movement of the 40 min chamber work In The Light Of Air, a tetralogy of works that - connected by short transitions - together form a structure of a single piece. Recorded and released in 2015 by Sono Luminus, performed by the International Contemporary Ensemble, the work appeared on a number of year end lists, e.g. at the New York Times and The New Yorker.

In the Light of Air was written for the International Contemporary Ensemble and premiered at the Reykjavik Arts Festival in May 2014.
