I think the most defining and damning of his actions was having the knowledge of what was going to happen to the castle family, and doing nothing to prevent it. He could've silently warned Frank somehow that day, but he chose not to.

Thanks for talking so well about Billy Russo. What I see especially when watching him is the acting performance of Ben Barnes who managed to make us love this character. He was amazing as he does for each of his roles. There was the physical preparation and the emotional interpretation of Billy. A character more complex than a simple villain. I agree. Billy suffered the bad fate himself. But, he should not do that to Frank. Frank did not betray Billy. Making other people suffer the same fate as you does not make you become a good person
