Again, love your content and so glad to see you living the dream. I do think you're calling too widely in some of those spots--77 and T9 specifically. Those are shoving hands not calling, especially a UTG jam.

I don't understand T9. I feel like the equity of your future shove opportunities is better than calling off to flip.... what am I missing?
@forrestmaccready60232 жыл бұрын
I think the logic is you're still flipping against small pairs and less chance of being dominated then when you shove KJ,AQ,AJ,KQ. honestly when you're down to ten blinds you start getting less options for premium spots
@DesignHen2 жыл бұрын
I think he was playing it too much like a progressive bounty tournament. ICM feels more important in later stages than winning $100, when the ladders outweigh that. Great video regardless! Learning something every time.
@wesleykim17582 жыл бұрын
@@DesignHen This. I dont remember what the places pay, but if it's a non-flat payout structure he's better off folding. If it's flat maybe he can justify a call since the pay he gets for folding is not significantly affected

@jamesmulrey60612 жыл бұрын
It’s not just this hand it’s the 77 as well. He put himself into too many hands where he’s behind. I know you need to win your flips to win tournaments but you can’t constantly put yourself in at 50-50 or worse and reasonably expect to win. Plus as someone else said it’s not a structure where there are increased bounties. Picking up bounties is great but you need to play to win this tournament not make a couple extra hundred.
@lordtraxx42172 жыл бұрын
When you had 555K you should’ve tightened up your range.. offsuit broadways like KJ and so are folds to most all ins, especially those that are 50% of your stack. Great video and run in the tourney tho!
