The past 6 months have been rough for me, and I've been feeling a lot of doubt about being a member of the church. To say this talk was perfectly timed was an understatement. It's the greatest bear hug I've ever received and bandaged my broken heart ten times over. Thank you, Elder Bednar. Seriously. Thank you.

These Latter-days have been rough for many. I am glad you have found solace. Even the most stalwart members will find personal struggles. I pray you find those around you that can help you carry your burdens as you help them in return. We need each other.

Thank you Elder Bednar. I am so Greatfull for our unsung heros. The pioneers gave so much to bring themselves and their future prodigy into the resored gospel of Jesus Christ. because of their efforts I benifit of being born into the covenant. I thank my Father in Heaven for their works. I search out their names and do their familie's temple work as best that I can. They deserve our attention, and our service.

I wish the church would recognize people who can't actually go to church, or may not be able to serve in a specific calling whether because they are homebound or whatever the case may be, but yet they are still serving and loving and learning right there at their home and every single possible way that they can and their services just as valuable Maybe they have children at home or maybe they are taking care of and elderly loved one. Maybe they feel like they just aren't doing enough and should never do enough to serve in the church or be good enough but they are

The mention was brief, but Elder Bednar did mention those who are unable to serve. I heard another talk mention this group, as well. I think it was the third talk in the Saturday Morning Session. I think the key is “…serving and loving and learning right there…” I am afraid that many who are sick and/or home bound feel like there is nothing they CAN do. But I know many who don’t let their challenges stop them from serving. One bed bound friend sends cards to encourage people. Another said she would picture each home in her neighborhood and pray for her neighbors because she couldn’t do anything else. “No less serviceable.” And, I remember my dad telling me that sometimes we go through trials to give other people the opportunity to serve us. Even if you can do nothing but accept the service of others, that is also a service (in a confusing kind of way lol😊). If you are feeling unappreciated, unseen…Elder Bednar’s talk was definitely for you, too. I hope you will listen to Conference again…pray for the Spirit to open your ears to hear His love for those you mentioned. I believe it is there, woven throughout the messages. Hugs, my Sister in Christ.

It always stinks to feel unseen and unvalued by these humans we deal with. I hope you, and everyone else in our situation, can feel the love of our Heavenly Family. Their love is ALWAYS perfect and they ALWAYS see and understand. I encourage you to ask for help to see your worth. This knowledge is part of the most important knowledge you can ever have. When we come to truly know that Jesus Christ is our Savior, it becomes essential to also know about our worth in His eyes. Remember, His eyesight is 20/20. It is important to keep on going. We know this is where we need to be. The struggle to stay strong through our difficulties is possible with the saving grace of our Savior Jesus Christ. Much love, Janice

Hi Crystal, I'm sorry to hear that you are going through challenges. I say what Elder Bednar says, by saying that I love you, and most importantly Jesus Christ lives, and loves you with his heart, might, mind, and whole soul! We should also remember that we members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are imperfect, but many are trying our best to bless mankind for God. I'm not bragging at all, but I was a service missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at an assisted living facility, and would help, alongside maybe 15 other people to help people to go to sacrament meeting, as well as to help people to go back to their rooms after the meetings were over. We didn't just help them go to meetings, they are forever our friends, and I loved associating with them! God bless you!

This talk surprised me at first, but then I realized I might not have converted to the Church or stayed as strong as I have if it wasn't for the example of those who are so LOUD with their QUITE obedience. I'm so thankful for them! I know the meek will inherit the earth, perhaps these are they to whom he was referring.

No act of kindness or duty is too small! Just watching this talk shows great duty to the Lord, for where you put your focus, energy follows, and from our Heavenly Father, is how we came to be! We are all one in Christ, because we are all connected through spirit. Therefore, any good things you do, you do unto Christ. Keep up the great work and continue to do the Lord’s work. Strive to be famous unto God, and not unto man. “I don’t need my name in lights, I’m famous in my Father‘s eyes. It’s all His stage, He knows my name! I’m not living for applause, I’m already so adored. It’s all His stage, He knows my name!” -Francesca ❤

For his organizational behavior background, this is the equivalent of a company-wide meeting saying “Thank you.” He means what he says and the spirit was strong when I was listening to this message. He is the kind of president to commune with students, the kind of disciple who encourages all of us to be spiritually self-sufficient, but reliant on the One who is mighty to save.
