Jungkook is the main vocalist so besides his vocal parts, he does a majority of the guide tracks, adlibs, harmonies, and background vocals in most of their songs. His voice really fits just about anything and he's able to blend with each member's vocals/raps. He has a good ear and sense of rhythm so he's able to do those amazing adlibs on the spot like that!

They assume main vocal just means you get more lines but if you look at song credits, he is listed as background vocals for chorus most of the time so his voice is what a lot of their songs are built from. @14:06 answering your question about "Why they like this song so much and how it is different with their usual recording session" is that this song was created casually when they took a break and visited a leisure lakeview house in the forest (soop) area of Chuncheon, Gangwon.Their leisure activies were recorded and became a BTS reality show called "BTS in the Soop". It has 8 episodes. . They spent leisure time in this lakeview house together and the song was created "casually" when they were just joking around in the living room. It was Taehyung who started the melody while playing a keyboard and the other members were just inventing the lyrics casually on the spot. Once Suga heard the song, he then immediately ran to his room to grab his recording and music equipments, and he started to record and produce a proper song on the spot.The process was crazily creative yet fun and very entertaining to watch!! It was basically created within just a few hours! You may watch the process in the Episode 3. . This raw song then was processed in the studio properly by Suga and became the OST of that reality show BTS In The Soop. The studio processing part is the one that you watched and reacted to.

To answer your question, yes, it is true that they have to go to military service, the oldest member has just turned 28 years old, which would be the age limit to fulfill military service, but 4 days before his birthday a law was created so that only bts could postpone it until he turns 30, this is because bts annually contributes millions of dollars to the South Korean economy

Soop means Forest in Korean. This song was created for the intro to their TV show called "In the soop". As to why they are happier and more casual in this recording session is because the song happened by accident. They never planned on recording a title song to the show. It was the result of adlibbing and fooling around with a piano while they were shooting for the show. It was also the first time that all 7 were in the same room to contribute towards the song. Usually their songs are produced as sub units (3 or 2 or 4 in a group).

I just wanna clarify some of the comments for the military postponement, it isn't "bts law", this is what they call it in the west. They def created it due to bts contributions, but it is a general exception for pop artists that gain recognition from the ministry (each exception needs to get recommended by the Minister of Culture and then affirmed by either the Ministry of Defense or the gov or someone, not sure who anymore). All bts members are eligible for the postponement ofc, but we don't know how they are gonna plan everything out :)

well its really BTS Law since it was created for them. say anything you want but the bill passing just days before Jin turns 28 is enough evidence that it was done for them to stay together longer. and the fact that one of the reasons for delay is for a group to be awarded the Order of Cultural Merit which, to this day, has been awarded to BTS only says a lot. it is not BTS that wanted this delay, nor did they ask for it. It's their own government.

thanks for emphasizing that it isn't just a law for BTS members, @Ana. The western media have used that name to make it more relatable, but it can actually be detrimental to BTS to have everyone thinking only they are getting special treatment. Yes, the timing and impetus may have been because of BTS, but the law had to adjust to the times. Olympic athletes and award-winning classical musicians are allowed to defer, so it makes sense to put newly worldwide recognized pop artists on the same level.

I would love to see individual focus videos on each of the members. Each of them is vital to the dynamic of the group and brings their own distinctive flavour. JK killed the ad libs here even though they were all clearly focusing on having a good time doing this together. I'm sure they were all cracking up so much coz they don't normally record in front of each other like this. It's like trying to sing seriously in front of your best friend who is trying to make you laugh lol BTS actually uses a lot of background vocals. I remember listening to Baepsae and then listen to its background vocals. I was blown away by how much Jhope's sound effects contributed to the auditory experience of that song. I think you can find a treasure trove in each member.

actually ... this 48 sec song started out as a playful pass-time activity when all of them were "forced" to spend the day inside due to a rainy day .. they surprised themselves at how it turned into a real song real quick once suga heard them and decided to grab his equipment and record on the spot -- like literally record them playfully jamming into taes piano tunes and making up rhyming phrases just for fun .. a few days later he presented them with the rough guide [using his vocal] and i guess after theyre done shooting "in the soop" he got jk to record the real refined guide track for this recording session .. after its done i think the production team then use it as the official series ost ..

I don't know if you have already watched it but anyways V put the chords together and the melody was I think Jimin, V, RM and J-Hope. J-hope did the chorus this was all for fun they were just playing around with the keyboard and singing along. Suga brings his Music equipment's everywhere so he brought it down from his room to them and recorded them playing around, they all decided the lyrics together playfully. Suga then finished off the instrumental.

Soop means forest. BTS did a short TV series of them basically on vacation in the forest. They filmed last Spring and it aired this Summer. There is a video of V just goofing off on the keyboard and they all joined in; Suga ran and grabbed is recording equipment. Korea literally just passed a BTS law that allows Idols to apply for an extension/delay so they can wait until 30 to enlist. Jin just turned 28 on Dec 4th and they passed the law on Dec 2nd or 3rd... I think? As of now, the only total exemptions (other than physical ability) are some Olympic athletes and some classical musicians. It's a whole thing right now.

I'm sure they could per-record enough material to be released throughout their enlistment... we'll just have to wait and see what they do in the next couple years. If they win the Grammy they're nominated for... that might influence some decisions on the governments end.

Actually they rotate parts so they end up singing the same parts as another member and it doesn’t just have to do with the texture of their voices. If you’re paying attention you’ll notice that jungkook will sing something jimin will sing it next, then v and then jin. All of them singing the same lines in the songs at different times. Jungkook is the main vocal so generally he will have the most lines.. and there are a lot of songs them at he doesn’t begin the song... it’s disappointing that even though a lot of us asked for a jungkook video you just skipped him and did 3 others and said youlll do it “if enough people ask for it.” I would have hoped that considering your channel is your content that you would have respect enough for l the members in the group to not need to make a video about them based on views which is how that seems. I’ve definitely see more people asking for jungkook then any other members so I don’t know what your exactly waiting for or maybe you just said it to please people and don’t follow through with your words... it happens on KZbin ... starts to get easy to spot. You’ve done all the other members of the vocal line but you’ve made two videos about Jimin but not jungkook vocals ... right

Changes in the enlistment laws mean that they don’t have to enlist until they are 30 - none of them have gone. The new law has been dubbed the BTS Law. Jungkook’s name is not pronounced with a “y” sound but a “J” sound. The one who was nervous to sing in front of the others was Jin JK sings MOST of the guides - but SUGA did Soop as he wrote it in a caravan while they were filming the series. Soop in Korean means Forest. The lyrics were originally printed - you were correct but V kept writing the changes down - that is why JK said his writing was bad. He is not the neatest writer.

I know a lot of singers use autotune when they sing/record. The problem is when most of their vocals are autotuned and when you hear them with no or minimal autotune a person will think " WHAT IS THAT? That person can't sing." Hahaha Yeah BTS uses autotune, sometimes minimal and sometimes a little more BUT I don't think they drown out the guy's basic vocal ability with autotune. We have heard them when they sing without a microphone and they sound basically the same.

Junkook pronounces the J in his name he even calls himself JK. In the Soop was a reality show they did. Also, none of them have served yet. The oldest Jin (not Suga he's is second oldest) just turned 28 BUT SK recently just passed the "BTS law" that extended the age till 30 for K-Pop idols given a national metal " The new law allows K-pop entertainers to apply for deferment if they've received government medals for elevating South Korea's ​cultural influence around the world." -Billboard also, BTS and BH have contributed 4.65 Billion dollars (just in 2018 it's probably more now) to the SK GPD. Jin was was supposed to be in military by now but the so called "BTS law" have exempted him & the other members for the military enlistment.So yeh...they won't be going to military until 30+ y/old...cuz that's what the article said.
