2/27/24 Here is a ride along video on a session I was hired for. Giving the customer what they want for their use is kind of what it is all about as a freelance musician. I hope you enjoy the up close look to what it is kind of like to get called in for a one or two off session.

Very cool look into a real band recording session! I haven’t done a 2 track tape session since 1988! That’s pretty cool done it to tape! Cool video Jim!

Yeah. Tape is pretty cool. I couldn't believe he can still get it! I recorded an album in 1996 at Smart Studio on 2" tape, though at the time ADAT was totally being promoted. The leader wanted the real deal.

@@jimflys2 I’ve done a bunch of 24 track 2” and 16” track 1” sessions in NJ and NYC. My first recording sessions at my studio was 16 track ADATs. But by 2002 I got a MOTU 828 interface and Digital Performer 3.11 and I recorded my wife’s album in an 11x11 bedroom! The technology has made everyone a recording engineer! Even you and me!
