Actually not, the problem would be the same as when using an helicopter, the air flow of propellers would prevent observations and sample collections in tree crowns.

@@mauriceleponce9904 , could one not be adapted with an arm that reaches out and take the sample outside of the airflow from the propellers? I'm not expert at all, just seems like there must be an easier way with all the technology these days. But in saying that, this look like a much more enjoyable way to collect them as long as you are safe.
