Beautiful rendition. The Lord of the Rings said Tolkien in his own memoirs, as recounted by his son Christopher, was merely an intrusion into the greater work of the Silmarillion and the great tales of the Elder Days. There is a lightness mixed with sadness remembering the days of youth. This rendition captures the bitter-sweetness Treebeard must have felt in recalling the fair lands of Beleriand and all the tales of song and sadness made in the long, doomed struggle of the Eldar and Edain against the first Dark Lord. I guess it was only fitting those lands were drowned to remove the stain that was made upon them by that great evil. And we can all look back with that same longing upon those mythical lands bequeathed to the ages by the great professor Tolkien.

Wonderful comment. Exactly what I would like to say about Treebeard's, Tolkien and Adele's lovely and haunting interpretation.

I'm in love with this song. I'm not in love with how it sounds like you were singing 20 feet away from the microphone...is there any way you could record these with better volume? I can barely even here the Song of Earendil. I'd listen much more if they were decent volumes. I looove your voice. I love your artistry. But I can barely hear it. :(
