This is so beautiful!! I’ve been learning guitar for about a year on a Jim Dandy and recently have been trying to learn a few fingerpickings that have a consistent bass line in the thumb and melodies over that with my other fingers, kind of like this. They totally kicked my ass.. I’m glad I ran across this video, I think I’ll give it a second shot!! Thanks!

Yeah! Keep practicing! Don’t give up. You’ll get it eventually. Find a good simple riff to start with and just play it over and over until you don’t even have to think about it. Eventually the playing with come naturally

Thanks Jon, helped me decide on the tool. I think this is a sign from above. I accidentally came across your video while looking for reviews of guitars from other brands. With your music I began to understand ambient music, I previously watched a lot of your videos. I even mentioned your name in my thesis, when describing the genre that influenced my work. Considering that I'm a fan of Gretsch... I previously doubted that I wanted gin rickey, now the choice is obvious

Wow! I made it in your thesis!? That’s awesome. Thank you! Yeah, this guitar surprised me. I played one at guitar center one day and was just like nah, but then I used a cheap first act guitar in a recording one time and thought, that Jim dandy would have been prefect for this recording. Decided to get one and so glad I did. It was nothing like the one I played at GC. Much better than I imagined. I have a review video of this guitar coming up next week. So stay tuned!
