It's commentary about taking plastic surgery. You take plastic surgery, you perceive yourself as younger, then you perceive yourself older again despite the plastic surgery hasn't necessarily changed. then you feel old until the next plastic surgery appointment. then you perceive yourself as young again, and then you take extra botox that will chip away at your health. then the entire cycle renews until you look disformed.

@shadowmekar25 күн бұрын
Exactly. Such a shit process. They don’t even seem to be related or share the same consciousness, look how ruthlessly she discarded the older lady
@seands65025 күн бұрын
Because you'll never be young again. Your younger self IS a different person. And you will be facing the consequences and paying the price for the benefit your younger self enjoyed. So treat your older self like you are one and the same, and do what's best for both of you, not just you.
@aussiewanderer630425 күн бұрын
But that's the trade off; your image stays young, but it's not really you. The question is whether you value your image more than yourself.
@phoenixwatch269725 күн бұрын
@@shadowmekar honestly I think they did share the same mind, which is why it all went wrong, it created two copies of herself with the same mindset, never wanting to let go of their youth. She basically killed her other self because she hated herself, making the younger version of her to hate her older self as well, she needed to love herself as both versions, but she couldn't. It was the same mind with the same memories that were both selfish,... the irony.
@kora418524 күн бұрын
I never even thought they didn’t share the mind/memories. I thought she just loathed herself so much that she doesn’t care for herself at the point she kind of disassociates. Haven't watched the show, but the premise is very metaphorical. And it would apply not just to females, but people in general. How there is a younger and an older self. And if the young one takes bad care of itself, then the older version gets to pay though discomforts and rapid aging. It's a tug of war between 2 people who are one person, but possessing 2 contradicting moralities. How would young vs. old work, if they weren't a different generation, but the same person encountering themselves form a different time? I hope the writing is smart, because the premise is solid and a lot can be done narratively within that framework. It can be both, fictional and introspective. I have no time to watch the show, but I'd probably like it.

I thought this was great body horror and what happens if you choose not to age and diversely your craft like actors who play action heroes and age out as Dwayne is getting humbled this year, for women who played the bond girls how many are still here cus of their looks? Look at hallie look at Angelina and then look at care in that borderland movie people destroyed her for being to old but that was due to the lore. So i get it but then look at Stallone and others who get to play action stars at 70 , I don't get why you wouldn't stop the clone after the finger thing as someone grieving time is so precious and you made a impact on this planet unlike people who are to poor childless and want to leave a mark on this planet like me.
