This is exactly why I do appreciate my foil kite so much. Same height, but double the hang time, very forgiving with bar input

11:00 What happens to kite? Why it´s doing that?
@kitesurfexperiencebypetar5 күн бұрын
As I landed going with a lot of speed down wind, the kite stayed upwind of me, so he lost all the tension

20+ knots is something that happens one time a year in Las Terrenas? I guess then I know where I better do not travel to. 😂
@kitesurfexperiencebypetar5 күн бұрын
Yes, definitely not a fun spot for someone that likes to jump high :(
@IJzzo5 күн бұрын
@ Haha if I really could jump… I do just remember Sri Lanka last winter. That was often a struggle for me to ride upwind on my 14m kite and my smaller twintip. There I had to walk quite a bit on the beach to get more cross onshore wind and getting out on the ocean, where wind was always stronger. That is now how I imagine Las Terrenas as well.

@ I’ve never visited Sri Lanka, but I’m pretty sure Las Terrenas is much more beautiful 🤗 No one ever complains, even when there’s no wind at all 🙏🏻 The water is usually crystal flat, with winds blowing between 13-17 knots. It’s perfect for teaching, learning new basic moves, relaxing, and enjoying the place when there’s no wind. But honestly, I’m feeling a bit depressed after going so long without kiting in strong wind conditions :( Hopefully I will be able to visit soon Buen Hombre, that is based north of DR and there the wind should be much stronger 🙌🏼

@@kitesurfexperiencebypetar Sure for teaching the first basics of kiteboarding, that are perfect wind conditions. I can imagine you getting depressed from the continuous low wind, but I guess it is almost always windy there at least. Denmark here had in summer a few 9 bft average wind days. 😃 A bit too much for me to have still really fun - it is more playing a survival game on a kite. But now it’s freaking cold unfortunately.

I agree with you, honestly I’m a bit depressed in here, opening a kiteschool without a team is very challenging, doesn’t allow me to improve my kitesurfing and especially to move to spots where there is more wind to properly enjoy it. Please help me out 🙏🏻

I loved that two use cases for beer: for killing sadness in case of to less wind or to celebrate after a having an amazing session. So the most important thing for a good day: beer!😜 cheers!
