Personal Neil story - In 2002, I went out to LA for vacation and just shot Neil an email for the fuck of it as a photographer he was an inspiration for me. I told him my story, asked if I could stop by and he invited me into his studio. He was the coolest guy everything you see in the video. He said what film do you want to look at? I said Motley Crue - he literally handed me the slides from Shout at the Devil era, and to this day, I still can't believe it. Thanks Neil for letting me into your world man! The guy is a legend.

This is the best rock and roll documentary EVER! I am always looking at photos of famous guitarists and I have seen so many of Neil’s before, I felt like I was there with those guys! I am 13, I play lead guitar, and last year I was asked to open a small rock festival in the Scottish Highlands, and I actually got to experience what it’s like to have cameras pointed at me. I couldn’t believe the images they got of me! I am so amazed, those photographers are so important to the music business. They made me look and feel like the rock star that I so much want to be one day! Maybe one day Neil will be photographing me!

Neil is an icon. He literally has his place in history as one of the greatest Rock & Roll photographers ever. I was introduced to him briefly in the early 80's. I was told he was the greatest rock photographer ever......Little did I know. To the folks at Rattlesnake Productions......an amazing documentary. Bravo. Brought back unbelievable memories. Thank you so much for such an awesome film.

I’ve lived near his studio for years. I was walking by one day and the door was open so I walked in thinking it was a new store. He came out, and I said what is this place? IT’S MY PLACE! And slammed the door. 👍

Heard about this last year and was blown away that somebody was going to finally do something with Neil on the other side of the lense! Here we go. I am so excited to watch this, food ordered, this guy decorated my room as a kid, and punctuated almost every inspirational moment of my life. I spent my lunch money in school on Metal Edge, Hit Parader, Circus, and Guitar Magazine to get my hands on sporadic photos from my favourite shoots. The Nikki Sixx / Crue pic with the grey background splattered in blood is still a benchmark for awesomeness. I can't wait to relive this and see the untold perspective of this legend- he is as much a rockstar to me as any of his subjects!!

What a great and funny way of showing Neil’s work. I wasn’t aware of who he was but I recognized him from the scene on the movie Rockstar. And Igor, who is in this movie, recommended me the documentary. Now I see why I was fully aware of Neil’s work but didn’t know his career. Thank you for the hour and a half well spent while watching this. This documentary is just great and seeing all the rockstars in a relax human environment and being so humble praising the guy who portrayed them to who they are now is priceless. I’ll be watching again soon over and over again.

I have known the name Zlozower since 1985. I have seen the pictures in all the mags. Zloz is the m'er f'in man! Van Halen is an amazing band but his photos created a mystique about them that made you want to be them. The annoying grind of Neil's voice could trigger the most zen of grasshoppers.. His manic behavior and over the top antics make it impossible to look away. I will watch this again.... Oh, and a bunch of annoyed rock stars love him.

Watching this makes me wish rock and roll was central to our culture again. All those ideals----danger, decadence, sleaze, irreverence, recklessness---is sadly missing from todays music. I think 20, 25 years of lame pop and rap as the dominant genres in our culture is more than long enough. All that shit should've crashed and burned a long time ago.

Okay, I'm putting this comment on text to talk so somethings might come out a misconstrued. I'll do some proofreading before I hit the send button. Zlo, this is Scott Dominguez former bass player for laaz rockit I just watched your your film it's great back a lot of great memories. Even though you weren't using any photos of of them, the like you laaz years that I was with the band. Remember the first time we had a photo shoot on top of the Marriott in LA at the concrete convention. The time right after the Rodney King riots and then the photo shoot we did for when we changed our name to gak and you took us out to Compton and we did pictures out there. You know. Strange you put your clientele in in these potentially deadly situations and you get some really good photos that way your sick man. Anyways, I'm just kidding and and remember when we went to Japan we brought you. I got photos of you. I took photos of you. I got pictures of you backstage picking your nose signing autographs thinking you're a rockstar. It was great. You are rockstar dude. Thank you for the memories and also who's that old guy playing you in the movie?🖕

I wonder if Niel and Leland sklar got together and put all their photos of ppl giving the bird, it would be the most epic one. I only thought Leland had the biggest collection of musicians flipping off the bird to the camera, i also wonder if one inspired the other, or like the famous Johnny Cash photo from Marshall it was just was built from that
