I do admire him for what he was able to do. I had worked with someone who had a form of Ankylosing spondylitis. He was in pain everyday and couldn't even walk without help from a walker or wheelchair. For Mick to have it AND stand AND hold a guitar, let alone play a full concert, is amazing. He is someone to look up to. I understand where he is coming from with opioid addiction. You take one and the pain is manageable. But after awhile one isn't enough. You need two, three, four................each time because your body gets so used to the pills after awhile. Then you run out too early and have to wait until the next script. In that time, withdrawals happen and they aren't pretty. Your pain is amplified. You get pains in other spots that you didn't realize you had because the pills wiped them away. Too hot. Too cold. Sweating. Depression sets in. You're an addict without the thought of becoming one.

I am a young rock guitar player in my 20s with scoliosis , and while it is nowhere near as severe as ankylosing spondylitis, I have been dealing with back pain since I was 17. Mick Mars is a total inspiration for me, because throughout the pain, and through the feeling of your spine turning against you, he not only pulled through, but he became one of rock's most unbeatable icons. Motley Crue themselves are my inspiration, and that's what makes the recent events so hurtful because of the way they treated him. These guys should consider themselves lucky this documentary is about 20 years old already and they are all still alive. Considering the fact they have been through so much as a band and their personal lives. You only live once and if you still got it you still got it. We all die and life is short so get out there and keep on keeping on. Rock on! RIP Randy Castillo that played with them right before this documentary was made. Just be happy for each others accomplishments and learn to forgive.

I've seen them 3 times in concert starting when I was in 7th grade and they toured with Ozzy for their Shout At the Devil album. Hands downs best live show ever. Rough seeing Mick like that but maybe the reunion gave him the will to go on maybe like a purpose. Glad they did get back together. Been my all time favorite band since I was 12, 36 years ago and always will be! True American Rock n Roll bad ass band!

I have osteoarthritis through my spine shoulders hands ankles knees hips although every day is painful I know it is still no way as painful as micks I totally relate to his embarrassment and feeling like you just can't go on with it i honestly don't know how he managed to get on that stage and play are bodies have to work 3 times as hard just the smallest thing's will tire you out yet he carried on the man is a trooper and an inspiration

The last live show I saw was in 2015 and they were amazing. Mick has been undervalued since the band's start. I really hope he's doing ok. This band, like all the other really great ones, really require all of their members to function properly. That is a collective energy. I realize they're "Niki's brainchild" but they're all important
@johnkatsoudas47676 жыл бұрын
I could tell right away after seeing the making of the If I Die Tomorrow part that all four members were in on the reunion. You can tell that all four members were having a lot of fun during the making of that video and it was magic.

Amazing band. Mick Mars is an impressive human being and the other members matured a lot since I knew them in the 80's. Crue is legendary now.

If Tommy ever reads this, YOU and the band saved his life! You all gave him a reason to live after he just admitted he didn't have anything to do, live for.
@BananaCologne2 жыл бұрын
If Tommy ever reads this (which he won’t), he used to be my favourite member of the band, but success, excess and his ego got the better of him in the end to the point where his schtick stopped being endearing and just made him look like a fucking selfish jerk. It’s blatantly evident in this documentary that he’d become so totally self-absorbed at that point he felt HIS “problems” were more important than everyone else’s- including Mick’s which was really not a nice side of him to see. Tommy’s face when he saw Mick for the first time in several years was an uncomfortable watch, so I’d imagine it was a real wake-up call for Tommy to get his own fucking act together - and to be fair to him, finally hearing him open up and start to express himself honestly and be accountable to the band for his shit and his hang-ups like an adult instead of the spoiled prick he’d become gave me hope that there’s gas in the ol’ Mötley tank yet. Yes, the band saved Mick’s life by reforming, but I like to think that Mick suddenly made everyone else realise that their petty shit doesn’t matter in the bigger scheme of things. Life is short. Mick Mars rocks. 🤘🏻

Dang Mick, Ida come over and chill for as long as you need brother, you have done so much for me over the years as far and giving me inspiration and incredible guitar riffs, as I play. I feel for the other side too, I was given OCs for my blown rotator cuff and already had a drinking issue, happy functional drunk, but eating those things and eventually graduating the same as everyone before me, but finally got it figured out 7 years ago. There are a millions of people that would love to support Mick!

backmaniac1 all they showed was micks hip replacement but, since this documentary was rawer than a biopic could ever be i guess they thought it would be good to leave it out. I think the movie was created to show more of the origin of crue and their 80s antics because all we have of that time is fragments and interviews, no one was doing documentaries on crue in the 80s yk?
