We went on a cruise from Rome back in 2022, and had to get our C test the day before. After hours and hours of travel, waiting, in a huge line, etc, the employee setting up our test literally starting shouting that he wasn't going to help my husband because he was annoyed that he didn't speak English. To say I was LIVID is an understatement...my head was spinning so fast that I hardly felt the C test LOL My husband ended up getting his test just fine, because another reasonable employee stepped in, but I was completely floored by the lack of professionalism. It wasn´t the cruise line's fault at all, this was airport staff, but what a way to start your cruise/trip to Italy!

Same thing happened to me with Disney and port shuttle buses. In 2023 I did a European cruise and I knew that the ship would be 30 minutes drive from the city. I rang Disney and was told there would no bus, that I could get a taxi or walk 20 minutes to the metro station. I rang the information centre at the port straight after Disney, 30 minutes later and was told 1. Yes there will be a bus 2. It will be free 3. Where the drop off and pick up point in the city would be The night before the port, the cruise director made an announcement about the free shuttle bus and many people were angry, as they had either planned to stay on the ship or had arranged their own paid transport.

@@laurieGaryCruise Disney phone agents, no matter the department are notorious for incorrect information. The shuttle bus issue I had is not a one off, they seem to deliberately not give the phone agents the information, Ive seen many cruise reports from European cruises where Disney withheld the free shuttle bus information until on the ship.

@@badpinktink100 our worst phone operator experience was with Celebrity Cruise Lines which is one of our favorite cruise lines to sail out of. Once you are actually on the ship the customer service is amazing but leading up to it the phone situation is a mess!

You should have requested a meeting with the Director of Guest Services to resolve your coffee machine incident. Every time we have had an issue its always been resolved.

@@cheriedoughan5583 well are cruises coming up is in 3 weeks from NY to the Bahamas and all though it’s a big Royal Caribbean ship we are hoping all the kiddo’s will be in school. Same with our January cruise! After that we have Alaska in May specifically to avoid when schools get out and then our very first cruise with VIRGIN CRUISE LINES in September!!!! Absolutely thrilled!!!!

You forgot the wait time you have to get the information or wrong information.🤯 There are these metal electric coils that you put in a cup to heat water but they probably a no too. I know extension cords are a no also but I hide mine before we leave the room. I need one for my red light pad at night for back pain.

@@cheriedoughan5583 I think extension chords are only a NO from Royal Caribbean right now. We’ve never had 1 confiscated anyway. And you are correct. Sometimes the wait time is 45 minutes to an hour to speak with someone that can offer you little help! So frustrating!!!!

So … lesson learned! If you book cruises through phone operators who work for the cruise line, PLEASE double check the info they give you on the cruise web site and carefully read ALL the fine print. That way there will be no surprises and you’ll be good to go.

NEGLIGENCE! Yes I've heard stories of cruise line operators arranging same-day flights for folks, and it ended in disaster. So terrible!!
