2:21 Gundam is actually it's own franchise entirely. The name commonly used for anime with giant robots is Mecha. There are different subgenres within the Mechasphere tho like real robot and super robot!!

Pretty good list!!! Though I do need to nitpick one thing. Gundam is a specific franchise of anime, manga, and figures. The genre Gundam, Eva, FLCL, and Guren Lagan fall under is called Mecha.

I saw many ppl in the comments adding their suggestions for each genre, and here i am : Romance : i mean, there's Kaguya sama (could add it in comedy) Comedy : konosuba (watch everything, including the movie) Slice-of-life : it's more of a school life anime, but if you haven't experienced classroom of the elite, then what are you waiting for??? Sport/action : idk if it could be counted as a sports anime, but god knows how excited i was when watching initial D, nothing but PEAK. Gives you goosebumps at each race (only downfall is it might seem repetitive 🥲) Mecha : eighty-six, nothing less than PERFECTION. It's just peak Isekai : ik it may sound weird but paripi koumei is an isekai (technically, he died and got reincarnated in modern shibuya). This is a must watch Psychological : Tomodachi game P.S : I haven't mentionned mangas nor light novels (Classroom of the elite could have been peak romance and action, eighty-six would have been in the romance), same for tomodachi game manga, which is waaaay better than the anime Another P.S : OMGGGGG I HAVE A VERY GOOD TASTE 😭

My friend told me to watch Sword Art Online, and i had never watched an anime prior to that. Although it has it's flaws, I will defend it until the day I die. I loved it so much and understood the deep story in it. I highly recommend it for beginners, and most people say to turn your brain off to enjoy, but you have to turn your brain on to understand that most of the things people criticize it for are actually the show's greatest strengths, just not looked at properly.

Oooof you missed the mark for me on the Isekai. Re:zero is popular, though not my cup of tea. Tanya is not what I'd recommend for an average Isekai fan, though it is an interesting anime. Mushoku while good, is fairly bog standard and has a VERY unsympathetic creep of a main character. Shield Hero has a good start but falls off HARD after season one. If you want to watch Isekai that'll keep you engaged for a long time, I'd heavily recommend Overlord, which follows the life of Ainz Ooal Gown, an undead Overlord who has a whole guild of custom made NPCs that he's transported with to the New World. It's a bit dark, since it's from the perspective of more or less the final boss/villain of your average story but the humor, writing and fights are amazing. Very great setting, very in-depth and it already has four seasons now with an upcoming movie. I'd also heavily recommend Reincarnated as a Slime, which follows the life of a guy who is as the title suggests, reincarnated asa slime, but he absorbs the abilities of every monster he defeats, so he keeps growing stronger as he learns more about the world, starts a village and makes friends. Very light-hearted compared to Overlord but very exciting, also long-runnign so you'll have a lot to catch up on. Konosuba is a really great Isekai as well, it's also a comedy. Pretty light-hearted but a great cast of characters and fun adventures. It's something you can casually watch and enjoy all the way through.

Where 👏🏻 is 👏🏻 Violet 👏🏻 Evergarden? No like seriously. I get rather long depressed phases where I can never cry. I wish to cry so bad but nothing can get tears out of me. And in those phases Violet Evergarden saved me. It never failed. You can tell yourself you’re not gonna cry it’s gonna happen… and you end up emptying a couple box of tissues. It hits you and you don’t even know how. It’s so original in the way that it explores all of the forms love can take, not just romance. You grow with Violet just as much as you learn what pain is with her. You learn to see how beautiful emotions are. And from someone who often loses all sense of feelings, it’s just heart wrenching. I just love it so much
