My dad contracted polio when he was 2 in 1947, at that time a health crisis was happening and all parents were worried their children could contract the virus, as my father developed a high fever, my grandmother took him to the hospital and the doctors quickly diagnosed him with polio and treated him with medications they had at the time, it was enough to stop the virus from spreading to others parts of the body, but the damage caused to his left leg was irreversible, the sequels of the viral infection in his peripheral nervous system of the left leg made that so his leg would not grow with the rest of his body, as he got older, he made a total of 8 surgeries in a painful procedure that broke his bones to extend the leg, each time he made the surgery he was plastered for half a year until his leg healed. He was never able to run, but he loved to play futbol as a goalkeeper and swim at his teens. He still needs to use a device that makes his left leg higher to walk because his right leg is 3 cm longer than the left, but he never complained about it and always talks about the importance of being vaccinated. Glory to the vaccines and health professionals!

Remember, even if you dodge the vaccine and prevent harm from it, the danger from the disease is STILL THERE. You can still get the disease, and are at higher risk for complications. Meaning you have to cross the road of exposing yourself to risk at SOME POINT: the risk from vaccines, or the risk from the disease. I for one, would feel better choosing the probably less risky option and be done with it, safe in the knowledge that I've substantially reduced risk in the long term.

Not really, more and better education is always good. Especially for those who are unsure on the topic. This could help anti-vaxxers change their mind. Why do we teach and re-teach any history? To learn from it and keep it fresh in our minds. The alternative is that no one reminds us that vaccinations are helpful and less dangerous than the alternative so the anti-vaxx movement grows because of larger availability to anti-vaxx sources. @@asiamies9153 What do you call misinformation, pal? I claimed 2 things "you might get the seasonal flu, like, there is a 50% chance your shots worked. " I claimed there is (roughly) 50% flu shot efficacy rate. Check it on ECDC. I guess you do it every year, like normal informed people. 2nd I mentioned two severe conditions related to vaccinations, just to talk a little about possible side effects. "What if you needed to trade a lifetime of GBS or some other autoimmune condition for a little cold?" What do you call misinformation? And man... :D please its only morning in my time zone, dont make me laugh so hard :) You say dangerous misinformation. Under a video, financed by the provax gates foundation. It is a propaganda video payd by provax propagandists, and you reckon I spread the misinformation. In the neighboring country soldiers blow up buildings. With weapons (i mean in ukrain). In my country provaxer soldiers do come and abduct children, like months old toddlers. Like armed with semi automatic fire arms. And you call "misinformations" dangerous :D Man, I think you won this day, wasnt it women's day anyway? :D From now its yours, you are the king today! Your humour rulez mate!
