Inaugural Lecture of the Lady Fatima Endowed Chair in Women and Divinity | Dr Larisa Jasarevic

We are proud to announce the Inaugural Lecture for the Lady Fatima (AS) Endowed Chair, the world’s first endowed faculty chair in Women and Divinity. The lecture features Dr Larisa Jasarevic, a distinguished anthropologist, independent filmmaker and author.
Housed in the Comparative Humanities program, the Chair intends a scholarly study of the intersection of the feminine with the divine across interfaith dimensions, is a testament to Habib University’s commitment towards the pursuit of knowledge, and the institution’s reparative vision.
In keeping with the themes within the Lady Fatima Endowed Chair, through her talk, Dr Jasarevic seeks to highlight the impact of anthropogenic pressures, such as climate change and rising temperatures, on our ecosystems while also emphasizing on how Prophetic lessons on sustainable living offer deep insights for living in this tattered world.
