I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s knowing Art Adams and Jim Lee. I just discovered Nestor’s work and became impressed immedietely with his art. What a master he draws the anatomy like Michaelangelo would with on Sistine chapel along with his sculptures

Amir Taqi Thank you very much! And I actually haven't seen Redondo's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I'd love to track it down. Do you have any more information about who published it?

I Can appreciate your video's on the "Filipino Renaissance" of the 1970's my favorite artist of that time was Rudy Nebres his work is awe inspiring. I ask that you take a look at his work as well. its not as abstract as Alex but his control is exquisite.

YES! Another great video! Your enthusiasm is contagious! I'd really like to hear you on the Spanish invasion of warren magazines ( ala Vampirella. ) when artists like Esteban Maroto, Jose Gonzalez, Jose Ortiz, Fernando Fernández and such were rocking out pages like no one ever had seen before! I know there's a documentary on this subject on youtube, but it's only in english If I recall.

I'm always surprised when someone else is aware of Redondo's work. If we were talking records... that's a deep cut. Very cool video.

Nestor Redondo, , Alfredo Alcala, and Alex Nino, are truly outstanding artists. Your videos highlighting these artists are excellent, Thanks for doing this... I would add that Rudy Nebres is one of my favorite Pilipino artists as well.

Thanks, Scott! I've gotten numerous requests to do a Nebres video. I looked through my collection and saw that I actually have quite a few books with Nebres, but mostly inking others. Want to find more with him doing pencils and inks so I can do a more comprehensive piece!

I'm not too familiar with Redondo's work, so this was super cool. Definitely going to be seeking some of this stuff out. I can certainly see the influence on Mark Schultz!

Buscema and Redondo were teamed up for two issues of savage sword of Conan and it is some glorious art. Frank Redondo took over sgt rock after kubert and heath left the title he is great as well.

Thank you, thank you very much sir, I appreciate the way you passionately appreciate his works. How is it possible for me to have a RIMA compilation and any of his works? I would love to have a copy of all this. My mom is the only siblings left on Nestor Redondo's family, tito Kiko is also gone, both parents are gone, she is now 81 years old and I will be showing this tribute to her. Again, thank you.

Thank you very much, Maria! I am beyond honored that the family of the great Nestor Redondo would find this tribute! As for a Rima compilation or any of his works, I've been trying to just collect the old comic books and eventually get enough of them to send to a bindery to get a hardbound book made. But I wish more books with just Nestor's work were available to purchase. I'd be first in line!

I think the black & whites are better than the color ones. The inks are amazing and in this case, I guess because the colour techniques at that time for printing, the colour only hides the Redondo's work. Cheers

I certainly prefer having any b&w versions I can find; especially when the inking is as glorious as Redondo's and many of his Pinoy comics brethren. Although speaking of color, that's what made those first few pages of his Bible Treasury Edition so breathtaking to me -- the fact that not even the newsprint technology could dampen it. However, I saw the originals of those same pages on the Heritage Auction website and they were immaculate!
