I love that you can tell how far you are in Eggman's 'You must die' list by how long he doesn't shoot you. Eggman has a lot of kill shots that would, at worst, CRIPPLE The End while rendering it unable to strike back for a while as it put itself back together in CyberSpace. Meanwhile, he (And likely Tails) would have found a way to free themselves from the islands and basically render CyberSpace Null. But no, he waited for a KILL shot to destroy both The Sovereign, but also The End. Even Sonic isn't that far on the 'You must die' list, and he's been stopping Eggman like it's his job or something.

Holy crap! That was shounen as hell! I can't say I'm a fan of the Sonic games since Sonic Unleashed, but wow, the action sequences are some of the most exciting set peices I've watched ever. Sonic Frontiers is a real testament to how much control Sonic has over the power of the Chaos Emeralds. In the span of a few days goes Super Sonic, 4 different times, goes through a trial for cyber power and becomes Super Sonic 2. Heck even during the fight gets knocked back to base, powers back up to Super and then to Super 2 again. It took Goku years to do that as a Super Saiyan. (yes a very basic simplification but still).

I'm kinda sad they went with a different atmosphere for this version of The End, but for what it's worth they did a great job. I'm especially glad they actually made The End out to be a genuine threat. Neither 4 Titans or Super Sonic are a match for this thing, so even with this new form Sonic is bound to have a hard time (to be fair to the og they do imply that version of The End isn't at full power). I love how they make the entire first phase feel completely hopeless until you finally figure out what to do (even if it could've been conveyed a lot better), then make sure to show in the second phase that it really takes everything we can give to take it down for good.

I like the fact that they used the original Supreme boss fight as the warm up for the absolute brutal slug fest that comes after… I’m not joking when I say (and I’ve played every Sonic game ever made), that this version of “The End” is without a question, the most difficult boss in the 3-D era…. Possibly the hardest Sonic boss of all time PERIOD.

The hardest part for me was the 5th trial I spent 4 hours trying to finally beat i managed in the end, even on easy mode 🤣 skill issue I know but still you are limited to 400 rings to beat gigantic, wyvern and knight and you do little damage

Nah man, that stuff with the chain just pissed me off so much that I just didn’t like it. It should’ve been you parry the orbs to do it since that’s the whole mechanic of the new super sonic but instead It’s something that isn’t even hinted at. Plus I had max stats so it’s incredibly easy but with the new star fall events giving so many items there should’ve been one last phase 3 that was much harder I will say though I love when sonic bosses are cinematic like this

Interesting that they made the chaos emeralds alien artifacts that were attracted to earth because of the master emerald here. It does explain why Knuckles isnt all butthurt about sonic(and others) using them, his people were meant to guard the earth one, not the alien ones.
