I used to race these in 1986 I went and I qualified for the Nationals in Oregon. My boats name was "Sea Fury" this race picks up at 3:15

Love you videos I’ve been in Rc for a long time but never really boats, had a couple but nothing to crazy. I want to get into the hydroplanes but, as dumb as this may sound, I want to go all out. I’ve been looking at some hulls but my goal is to go full turbine. I’ve already looked into the SPM5 turbine and wanted your opinion on hull design and what size to accommodate it. I’m going to be ordering the turbine within a few weeks and wanted to go ahead and get a hull as well to begin the build. Thank you for any help and keep up the awesome videos!!!

You're a wild man Carlos! I can't really help much with the turbine boat as I've never held one in my hand to get a feel of it's size. My guess though is that you'd want something even larger than a typical gas scale hull. Maybe 1:5 scale? Who knows? Your best bet might be to contact Mike at MLBoatworks to see if he's built a kit to fit the turbine. You'll find him here; mlboatworksrc.com/

@@M5PerfHydros thank you so much for the help sir, unfortunately after contacting Jet Cat in Florida I was told that the SPM5 are no longer produced so unless I find someone that wants to sell one I won’t be able to build it. Really stinks but I’m not giving up yet haha thank you for your reply sir.
