A vibrant and diverse crowd, including Indigenous Peoples and activists rallied in Ottawa, Canada on April 21, 2024 to demand action on the global plastics crisis and deliver a poignant message: the harm from plastic pollution spans its entire lifecycle, severely impacting human health, our environment, and exacerbating the climate crisis.
This video captures the energy and unity of a global movement, emphasizing the urgent need for a comprehensive global plastics treaty that not only addresses the full lifecycle of plastics but also upholds the health of our planet, human rights, and the rights of future generations.
Over 4,000 people from around the world gathered in Ottawa from April 23-29 for the fourth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-4) to advance a plastics treaty.
