If your question is regarding their use in the clinical practice for cavity cutting, then I feel you can use anyone of them. They are as good. But if you come to differences, then there are specific differences in both of them concerning their material, type of cutting et cetera On whole diamond burs are more used when precision cutting is required. Also they are good for cutting Zirconia crowns. But their cutting leaves rough surface of the tooth Carbide, burs are more durable, they cut metal better, they leave smooth surfaces after cutting the tooth Basically it’s u r personal preference!!!
