Children can be home schooled in an official Australian Home School program. I checked it with Immigration. It is incredibly much cheaper. Do your homework, Brad!

If the dependent child is 4 years of age, should we fill in the application that he will be studying while in Australia considering he will start school after a year or state based on his current status? Thanks

You only need to provide evidence for child enrollment for when the child is 6 years old

You may be able to. But immigration could consider this to be providing misleading information on the initial application. Be careful before you do this.
