I got approved and my loans transferred over to Mohela. I tried to agree this point but here is the details…. the 12 to 36 month deferment/ forbearance credit only applies to ppl who sort deferment due to financial issues. If u were in an in school forbearance or deferment it doesn’t apply.

Hello. Great information. Consolidating my loan to Aidvantage so I can get the one time adjustment. Question 1. They Aidvantage said the one time payment adjustment will not be made until 2024. Anyone have any info on this. I thought it would be sooner. Question 2 my loan is from 1999 it’s either been in repayment deferred or 5 years of forbearance. Not consecutive. Does all my time apply. Where can I find the correct information about how much time I have left. I was is grad school so I assume it’s 25 years leaving me with one year left. Thanks for any information.

Started my NFP job, then IDR/PSLF just after COVID and cares act. Still don’t know what I’m doing despite countless hours reading and phone calls. Seemingly every MOHELA (and prior to that, Great Lakes) rep gives different advice and info. From my understanding, cares act will count every month since March ‘20 as a qualified payment, whether payments are made or not. So far, that accounts for ~36/120 required qualified payments. Still haven’t received clarification regarding how often IDR and PSLF forms need to be resubmitted with supporting docs. For example, 1x/2yrs with pay stub, supervisor signature. Any advice/insight appreciated

Do I only consolidate the loans that aren't qualifying for PSLF OR must you consolidate ALL loans? I'm scared of consolidating/messing with my loans that are counting towards PSLF. Also, what type of loan do you select on the consolidation?

Consolidate all loans that aren't direct loans.

I’ve been paying on my loan since 2000 but not in idr. Should I change from standard repayment to idr to get the one time adjustment for prior years payments to count towards forgiveness.

Regarding consolidating from FFEL to a Direct loan, was the May 1 deadline extended again? This update seems to say “by the end of 2023.” studentaid.gov/announcements-events/idr-account-adjustment
