Because an educated responsible woman can choose celibacy, not to have sex, can choose to have sex when and with whom she wishes, and can use birth control and a condom. @@DarkPassenger it's literally NOT another body, if it were then not only would it be a weird biological deformity, but you'd have no disagreement from anyone. It is not yet a person and not guaranteed to be so, given the amount of miscarriages and other health issues that could happen... it's not a done deal. But even if every conception resulted in a pregnancy, a pregnancy does not have the same rights as a women.

It takes two people to make a baby, right? Why is it that only one of them, the mother, is ever held accountable? Most of those wanting to end abortion are white males, and in congress, the same men accused of having mistresses, trafficking minors for sex or having affair with pages are the ones big on ending abortion. If men were held accountable for their own behavior, we wouldn't be having these discussions. Men always feel the obligation for birth control lies solely on the woman and that no matter what, they are free to have affairs or walk out on children.

I've been in that hall for my sister's medical school graduation. She said the majority of "students" graduating were kids of alumni who cheated their way through medical school. Parents knew teachers and gave out answers and passed them in practicals they didn't show up for.

The ORIGINAL HIPPOCRATIC OATH contains this line..."Similarly I will not give to a woman a pessary to cause abortion". Based on the original hippocratic oath, doctors were not suppose to perform abortions. To this day, I do not understand how a doctor can perform an abortion without losing his/her license to practice medicine, when the life of the mother is not in danger due to the pregnancy. Doctors performing abortions is a violation of the OATH they took to PROTECT all LIFE.

That means that if your religion bans abortion, great! Then don't get one. It also means that if my daughter's religious beliefs do not bar abortion, your religious beliefs do not get to bar her from getting one.
