I have followed Spurs since the mid 60's. Our fans are the most fickle ever. Give the bloke a break. He gets us playing exciting stuff most of the time, he can't kick every ball. The SonxJohnson pair is ineffective against low blocks. Son doesn't race the right back to the touchline but cuts in for his favourite shot so if the opponent's defends deep and centrally it's difficult to get a shot. Johnson plays fast n wide but his crossing and finishing are both lacking (same with Timo), most goals he scored this season are from tap ins. Our frontline really needs an overhaul. Praying Mikey Wilson and Richy get back soon so we'll get more depth and creation in the final 3rd. Benching Madders may or may not have been a wrong decision but you've got to admit his physicality hinders him from being a stronger creator than Kulu. The overall team lacked fight and the defence was wobbly with Radu being questionable and Romero switching off at crucial moments. The only one defending properly last night was Rodrigo (and Solanke, thank god he's not injured) sadly he couldnt do much on his own.

Unlike the European competitions we have the multi-ball system in the PL ,and yet, the stoppages are relentless resulting all too often in 8-9-10 minutes added time . Referees need to brandish a few yellows for time wasting. We're seeing goalkeepers holding onto the ball for 20+ seconds, and players slowly walking 30 yards+ to take a throw-in! Most exciting league in the world , you're having a laugh!
@PaulJones-i7k13 күн бұрын
Ange won't change so our results won't change. 13 times this season we went behind. Why isn't the problem addressed. We're losing to teams we should be beating 4-0 . The loss to Palace was a warning, now we lose to Ipswich who haven't won a match in the Premiership in 20 years! Lloris is right, there is a culture in Spurs that they don't really mind being midtable. A win yesterday would have put us third it was a great opportunity to show how good we are. Instead we were poor and today waking up to familiar headlines "Spursy" . Mid table again this year. Get rid of Richarlson he's only a waste of space.

The face of a broken man, should be beating the likes of Palace and Ipswich, would be third, these results are down to defending, fresh ideas required, decent team but void of ideas.
@wefinishthisnow388313 күн бұрын
Ipswitch copied the Palace and Newcastle tactics with the press + breakdown (tactical fouls+timewasting) strategy which made Spurs look like they couldn't string 2 passes together. Angeball players are meant to be press-resistant, but they have been getting bullied recently all over the park. Radu and Romero to a lesser extent were really poor today, while Kulu drifted to the right too much where he is weakest and Brennan/Werner/Son couldn't hit the target to save their lives. Solanke, Bentancur and Sarr were good, as evidenced by 17 shots vs 8, but even a good performance from midfielders won't help when both your central defenders keep making schoolboy errors and your attackers can't shoot on target. Solanke can at least force the save from the goalkeeper.

This of course does not excuse Tottenham's performance, but the way Ipswich behaved was infuriating and embarrassing to watch. Ruining the game. Timewasting, faking injuries (especially Delap and Hutchinson). The ref is the one responsible, and the one that can stop this, but he was happy to let them continue, turning his back every time. My god it's hard to watch! I would be so embarrassed if my team had done these things. Makes a sweet win bitter, doesn't it..?
