The unanimity of intention at 7:33-7:34 is just wonderful, but it doesn't just happen. It begins with the sharing of an entire musical culture.

Echt genial!
0:00 I. Adagio-Allegro 6:30 II. Thema con Variazioni: Andantino Cantabile That's right, there are errors in the description. The first two 'movements' listed in the description are actually one movement, and the second movement is Andantino Cantabile (rather than Andante Cantabile).

In this sonata the sun does not truly shine until in the second movement the theme returns in a warm allegretto.
Almost nobody performs these sonatas for piano and violin anymore. That's because the violinist has a slightly subservient some of the time and no glamorous, heavily marketed soloist is going to stand for it and if they had the courage and integrity to do so, there would be war with concert management and personal management. The "business" part of music is foul. Serkin and Busch were serious musicians of a kind nearly extinct nowadays. Both played a ton of chamber music while pursuing solo careers. And even when Serkin became a soloist in great demand, he spent six weeks a year studying, rehearsing, and performing chamber music.

Ingenious elegant simplicity. Mozart the rascallious thief who stole choruses and verses from heaven!
