Its still perplexes me how people thought joining the KKK with the intent to "change" it from within was the way to go instead of fighting to remove brand KKK, then starting afresh. So all these GNUs, advisors etc are hypocrites IMO. It's actually insulting to the many victims of ZANUs "lack of empathy" as she puts it. But kudos for seeing your mistake and now distancing yourself. Others, like Mthuli are a pitiful sight

I keep on asking myself what is it that a country with such vast mineral wealth and brilliant people like this one continue to punch below it's belly, I never knew of this woman before but listening to her conversation she is poised for greater things ,combine her with all other technocrats which Zimbabwe had, God must smile upon us so that this Nation goes back to where it belongs, many countries around the world have benefitted a lot from sons and daughters of this land ,she truly speaks her mind freely ,why do we still have one Tv station really it's bad.

@10:15 Trevor poses a rather shallow question. The narrative that the leader is benevolent while his minions are mischievous makes no sense especially given modern Zimbabwe's history. Mnangagwa cannot be the genius leader when some policy bears fruit and the unsighted victim when others fail. Try again Trevor.

Thanks Petina for highlighting the weaknesses of the current government in terms of policy inconsistencies and communications. However I don't think you are correct when you say, "The government of Zimbabwe was at its best during the cyclone idai" . There are lots of lies that were reported during that time and most people failed to get help because of the incorrect report by government.

Check Petina's utterances during the months leading to the coup, the coup days & the period after. She was quite vocal in support of the most committed members of the Mugabe-era despotism. Her support had nothing to do with hopes for a peaceful and socially just nation. Raw tribalism drove Petina. Her descent into primitive tribalism was stunning. She was unapologetic about it, just as she is on this sickening interview. Petina is an egomaniac, and a deadly one at that, so much so that she prefers blame apportionment to everyone to accepting she played a part in the coup that has ushered in a frightening epoch of brazen atrocities and an insidious genocide. That there are presumably educated people slobbering over this charlatan is testament to the level of deadly amnesia that has descended upon Zimbabwe like a plague of locusts bringing guaranteed death. We are a forgetful people. It is the genesis of our own demise. If we cannot remember the recent past, we are doomed to be played for fools by fast-talking tricksters like Putschist Petina over and over again. They can foment, support and engage in genocides with the same impunity evident in Petina's chatter in this interview. A forgetful people hold no one to account. It is much worse than this when we end up forgetful and reflexive praise singers.

I think Mr Mnangagwa had no experience of good governance. He has never worked in an empathetic government. All he knows is Mugabeism and the culture associated with it. He is incapable of imagining a different Presicency. The mid-term review is another example of poor public administration. If "Jobs jobs jobs" was the desired output, then activites that would result in job creation need to be identified. She spoke about communication and having an open society. There can be different ones identified for each sector (eg. energy, transport, health, defence and security, education, trade and industry, international relations, environment, etc). This way each Ministry is, clearly linked to the overall short-term and long-term development goals (eg. 2030). After two years progress in each sector can be reviewed versus the goals. Whay has International Relations done to market Zim? How have health outcomes improved? Are doctors performing and adequately remunerated? How have education out comes improved? Are teachers performing and adequately rewarded? etc. Budget allocations can also be set in advance to indicate priorities and performance against budget reviewed every 2-3 years.
