I'm so grateful for this info, and it's timely. I've been having this problem above my garage door for about eight months now. Whenever it rains, I see black runny mold coming down the front of my garage door. I have to continually wipe it down. I just recently cleaned and painted my garage door (two weeks ago), but within a week the rains came and the black moldy stains return. It's tiring. I didn't know exactly what the problem was until I inspected the inside, above my garage door. The two wooden planks behind the aluminum trim seemed damp. My husband noticed black mold and a horde of ants between the space of the two wooden planks! He sprayed the ants and killed them all, but the damage is done. At any rate, now I know what needs to be done and will hire someone. Could you give me a price range I should consider in my hiring someone to resolve this specific job? Thank you. You're a Godsent.
