Very good method Daniel! It's also useful for achieving longer metabolic threasholds tolerances to the given muscles, as they have more time under tension at a higher intensity. Keep it smart bro!

Question: How can I get the middle and lower abs? What are the best exercises for middle and lower abs? Note: I already have the upper abs. Please answer my question because I am so excited to learn how to do the L-Sit Hold. Thanks Daniel! :D
@intelone8147 жыл бұрын
first things first: this new hair cut is really sick sick sick sick! love it! hastag nohomo. 2nd thing: I agree with you totally, this technique can also be used with dynamic exercises, ex: push-ups to failure, then drop slowly on your knees and keep doing push-ups. drop set is an awesome for progression on certain skills and increasing strength. 3rd thing: I'm still not ready for the planche and front-lever, so this question might sound pretty dumb, can I breathe while holding planche or front lever? and If no, is there's a reason? keep up the awesome work!

Yes, you should breathe through the holds. The thing is that its pretty tricky to keep your core braced in the position and breathe at the same time. This is why so many people look like they're about to implode while holding isometrics.
@onceuponthecross17 жыл бұрын
if you' re doing an appropriate progression for your ability, you should be breathing alright!

I have a question for you. Let's say, theoretically speaking, I'm on a caloric surplus and do 100push up every other day(letting my muscles recover optimally) and track it by time. If I finish quicker each time am I practicing progressive overload?
@mandlakei30535 жыл бұрын
progressive overload means incressing the load you expose your muscles to over time and thus increasing the tension the muscle is exposed to as it resists the load. if the load is constant as in your case but the time to complete the movement reduces then effectively what you are developing is power. Power relates to how fast your muscles can act against a given load. e.g. consider an athlete doing 1 pullup rep at 50%bodyweight. First month takes 6s to complete a rep 2nd month takes 4s to complete the rep 3rd month takes 3s to complete the rep What is improving in the athlete is Power and Force generation. Therefore the athlete is getting stronger but is not progressively overloading as the load remains the same. So you realize that 1. You are getting stronger if the time to complete the same number of reps decreases. 2. You are getting strong if the speed at which you do your reps increases 3. You are getting stronger if the rest period between sets decreases. Whilst you are getting stronger you are not progressively overloading the muscle because the load remains constant, however your power output is increasing and therefor your potential to move a heavier load has also increased

Nice video with high quality content as always. Can i try this method to improve reps with pull ups for example? So as soon as i fatigue with my stric pull up form, iill drop to negatives, then to australian pull ups or band assistance. Does the same logic apply to rep gains?

When I do front lever, I'm getting a pain between the abs and the chest. It feels like it is under the rips. I only have it while doing front lever (or when I push with my hands on that point). It also feels like soreness but it comes very fast even after making break with front lever for a week and even after making break from whole training for few days. Do you guys know something about that?
