I used a stock motor with that older mount, and you can obviously tell why they remade it. I’m like barely off on the spur and pinion. Half tempted to pull it forward, and glue it lol

Yeah there's not a lot of room on this mount at all. 12T with 3500kv is enough for me there, but that wouldn't be competitive on a larger track.

Do you need to calibrate the throttle with the ESC when using a different motor (PN Sensorless 2500kv) on the Kyosho MR03EVO board?
@sammybaka21 күн бұрын
I don't believe we can calibrate the esc with mr-03evo. It should just work. In general, we calibrate throttle endpoints whenever we change esc, receiver, or transmitter.

@@sammybaka - Thank you! I was always confused, since I would normally calibrate a Hobbywing EZRun Mini28 ESC. One less step to worry about. 😅

This may be a dumb question but can you use the 2.5 chassis with the MR-04 EVO2?
@sammybaka6 ай бұрын
I haven't tried but I heard it's possible. You will need to modify the top cover because of the motor sensor ports on the evo2 board.

Who makes the rear motor mount kit? Wish you had all the links where to buy all the parts for this upgrades in the description. Thanks!
@sammybaka Жыл бұрын
The motor pod in the video is R246-1202 made by Kyosho. It's considered an LM/MML motor pod. The exact same one is no longer on the market, but R246-1351B is essentially the same thing.

Is it possible to have the PN 2.5W chassis with 98mm base. I want to use the Audi R8 body. In this case what motor mount should i get? And compatible friction damper or rear shocks kit. Thanks!
@sammybaka7 ай бұрын
Yes, and in fact the vast majority of PN2.5 builds I've seen are 98mm. You just need the right motor pod. If you are building from scratch, I would get the PN v5 lcg 98mm mount mount, plus the PN multi length damper set. This combo will work for an R8 body.

@@sammybaka I’m also thinking of upgrading my Kyosho MR03 chassis to PN2.5w chassis, will my MR-03 Route 246 MM Aluminum Motor Mount work? (Part#: KYOR246-1355 ) Since i already have these parts available? Basically just switching every parts i have from my MR03 over. Will this work?
@sammybaka7 ай бұрын
Basically the front and backend of an MR-03 will fit fine onto the PN chassis. Your R246 motor pod will work.

Hi, MA-03 RWD wheels are front narrow, back wide? And play in home tiles surface what tires best suit? Thanks
@sammybaka Жыл бұрын
MR-03 usually is set up with narrow front and wide rear, but you can use whatever rims and widths as long as they can fit under the body. Surfaces outside of a track (like rcp or carpet) is pretty challenging because there's not nearly as much grip and dust accumulates easily. I have some suggestions but need to know what body you are running first. Which mr-03 do you have?

@@sammybaka Hi, i have only MA-03 Mercedes gt3, mostly running on home flat tiles and carpark type concrete flat surface
@sammybaka Жыл бұрын
Thanks. Just setting expectations that with sufficiently clean tiles, this might work okay. Carpark concrete is probably not going to work because it won't ever be dust-free enough. Merc GT3 is pretty wide so you have more rim options. I suggest for the front use kyosho narrow radial 20 deg. For the rear, go for a pair of 14mm rims (e.g: by PN) and super soft PN Racing KSM 14mm radial tires (KSM424). By the way, it's MR-03, not ma-03.

@@sammybaka Thanks for your advise on the rim and tires mix. 🙏😊Thanks, it is MR-03 Rear Wheels Drive.👍I will study where to buy them.
